Joel Campbell continued his recent run of starts in the Arsenal side in their north London derby fixture against Tottenham today, but the Costa Rican forward did not receive much praise from Arsenal supporters on social media for his efforts.

All too often, the 23-year-old lost the ball at the Emirates, and his control was lacking. This led Gunners fans on Twitter to compare him to Gervinho, the former Arsenal player who endured two woeful seasons at the club before he moved to Roma in August 2013.

Spurs went into the break leading 1-0 thanks to Harry Kane's strike.

HERE IS HOW HIS PERFORMANCE WAS SEEN BY SOME ON TWITTER

The Gunners were thrashed 5-1 by Bayern Munich on Wednesday in the Champions League.
