Jurgen Klopp breaks glasses during mad Liverpool celebration after 5-4 thriller
The Reds won 5-4 at Norwich thanks to Adam Lallana's late winner at Carrow Road
Jurgen Klopp understandably got a little carried away this afternoon in Norwich.
Having just watched his Liverpool side concede late on yet again, seemingly throwing away two points, the German was caught on film slumped into his seat in the dugout.
Just moments later, however, thanks to Adam Lallana’s half-volleyed winner in extra-time, making it 5-4 to the guests, Klopp galloped down the touchline... and lost his glasses in a crowd of red shirts.
In perhaps the craziest Premier League match so far this season, the Reds took the lead through Roberto Firmino in the 18th minute. Dieumerci Mbokani soon made it 1-1 before former Everton midfielder Steven Naismith put the Canneries ahead.
Wes Hoolahan’s penalty put Neil Neil’s men on their way to a famous win until Jordan Henderson started the first of two Liverpool recoveries. Firmino’s second of the day then made it 3-3.
With 15 minutes to spare, James Milner ghosted in to put the Reds ahead until Sebastien Bassong scored what looked like a late leveller. But, amid chaotic scenes, Lallana smashed home in the final minute of added time to take all three points.
Speaking at full-time, the former Borussia Dortmund boss said: "I usually have a second pair of glasses but I can't find them. It's hard to find glasses without glasses."
