Tottenham manager Maurico Pochettino says that it will be doubtful Kyle Walker is ready for the start of the Premier League season.

The right-back Walker has been sidelined since March with a pelvic injury which caused him to miss the World Cup with England in Brazil.

"Kyle is good some days, on other days he has a bad feeling," Pochettino was quoted in The Express as saying. "We believe he may recover soon, but we need to be calm with him because it is an injury that he has had for five months.

"It is difficult to say today whether he will be fit for next week."

Spurs defeated German side Schlake 04 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday in their final pre-season friendly before the season starts. Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado scored for Pochettino's side.
