Welcome to The Independent's live coverage of Liverpool vs Hull City.

Hopes are high at Anfield following last weekend's impressive victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp's side have taken seven points from three difficult trips to the capital and beaten the champions at home, but a defeat at newly-promoted Burnley blotches their copybook.

Hull will have taken note of Liverpool's single loss and will hope to frustrate them in the same way Sean Dyche's men did.

After a fantastic start, Mike Phelan's side have faltered slightly, taking one point from their last three games.

HALF TIME: LIVERPOOL 3 HULL 0

Liverpool have now scored 22 goals in their last eight games in all competitions. It could be 44 in eight by the end of this game.

Lallana, Milner and Mane with the goals against the 10-man Tigers after Elmohamady saw red.

And I don't mean to tempt fate, but Liverpool have never lost when James Milner has scored - a record that will almost certainly survive another weekend.

70 mins: GOAL! LIVERPOOL 5 (MILNER) HULL 1

Milner puts the ball in exactly the same place as he put his first. Too easy.
