Lukasz Fabianski looks set to spark a race for his signature in the summer after reportedly turning down the offer of a new contract with Arsenal.

The Polish goalkeeper, who is out of contract in the summer, was reportedly offered a new three-year deal at the club, thought to be around £50,000 a week, but is said to have turned it down.

Fabianski produced a great display for the Gunners in their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich, including a dramatic double save from a Thomas Muller penalty, and the club clearly decided they were keen to retain his services.

It is thought that Spanish clubs Villarreal and Sevilla as well as FC Basle and Schalke are all interested in securing the 28-year-old keeper although the Pole would also be open to staying in the Premier League.

Swansea and Cardiff are both thought to be interested in Fabianski, who is no longer prepared to deputise for his compatriot Wojciech Szczesny at the Emirates.

Should Arsenal fail to persuade him to stay, Arsene Wenger may face a goalkeeping conundrum next season, with Emiliano Viviano also leaving at the end of the campaign, leaving the Gunners with only Sczczesny and Damian Martinez.
