Luke Shaw arrives a week early for Manchester United pre-season training after cutting short post-World Cup holiday
£28m left back cut short his three week break to train at Carrington

Manchester United left back Luke Shaw is so keen to get started for his new club that he cut short his holiday by a week.
The former Southampton defender, who arrived at Old Trafford on a £28m deal earlier this summer, did not have to attend training for another week because of his involvement in England's doomed World Cup campaign.
But Shaw arrived at Carrington Thursday morning, report the Daily Mail, just 15 days after returning from Brazil.
United's England players, Shaw, Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck and Chris Smalling, were given a three week break after the tournament.
Other United players have been back in training for the last week, including United's other signing Ander Herrera, with assistant Ryan Giggs taking charge in Louis van Gaal's absence.
The new boss will not arrive at the club until next week, but Giggs said the Dutchman has been sending strict training instructions to him. Those who have trained have been subject to double sessions and even an evening session, as Van Gaal bids to get United back into the Champions League at the first attempt.
Giggs has been working alongside new coaches Albert Stuivenberg and Marcel Bout.
He said: "Everything has been planned through Louis. We’ve had that through and Albert and Marcel know how he works. The blueprint has been prepared by Louis and we’re just following his plans.
"It’s not ideal because you want all your players and manager there but it can be like this in a World Cup year. The difference is the manager is involved in World Cup this time. Within a week we will be all together. He will get to know the players and they will get to know him.
"We have spoken a couple of times and exchanged a few emails. It’s been hard because he has either been preparing for games or travelling somewhere but we’ve been in contact."
United will head to the US for their pre-season tour, with matches against Roma in Denver and Inter Milan in Washington DC.
Van Gaal will take charge of his first gome game at Old Trafford against Valencia on 12 August.
