Manchester City's #AskJesus Twitter takeover quickly descends into chaos as Premier League champions are trolled relentlessly

Jesus Navas was questioned on everything Jesus Christ-related

Manchester City’s latest Twitter takeover saw Spanish winger Jesus Navas take the reins of the club’s official Twitter account, with the Premier League champions asking fans to send their questions in using the hashtag #AskJesus. Cue chaos.

City’s newsfeed immediately filled up with questions from fans and pranksters alike who were keen to ask Jesus Christ the questions they had long seeked answers for.

Ranging from “Have you forgiven Judas yet” to “You fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish, so why didn’t you give Yaya a cake”, the Twitter takeover was quickly trending worldwide, and the hilarious responses just kept on coming.

Recent takeovers by Arsene Wenger and Michael Carrick have also ended in similar fashion. The Arsenal manager was trolled on everything from the latest update on Abou Diaby’s condition to whether the Balti pies at the Emirates were overpriced, while Carrick had to deal with fans asking what he really thought of team-mate Tom Cleverley.

Hopefully Navas will see the funny side of it. After all, he isn’t really the son of God.
