Manchester United play the third match of their pre-season programme on Saturday evening as they take on Turkish side Galatasaray in Sweden, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic poised to make his club debut after joining up with the squad earlier in the week.

Ibrahimovic was pictured training with the rest of Jose Mourinho’s squad on Thursday and was named in a full-strength squad to travel to Gothenburg, with Mourinho able to call on all of his Euro 2016 internationals as finalist Anthony Martial returns from an extended break.

Fellow finalists Bastian Schweinsteiger misses the trip though, with his future at United looking bleaker by the day after he was left out of the touring party and told to train with the reserves. None of the nine players reported to have been told by Jose Mourinho to leave Old Trafford this summer feature in the 23-man squad.

United’s England contingent of Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford will feature for the first time this season, while Luke Shaw will also continue his return from the horrific double leg fracture he suffered last summer, with the England international set to be Mourinho’s first choice left-back this term.

Mourinho’s over two signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly are set to start the fixture at the Ullevi Stadium, and the starting line-up could well represent Mourinho’s starting XI come the first weekend of the Premier League season given he has all of his players available for the trip.
