Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is counting down the days to get back into Premier League action.
Louis van Gaal could name up to four debutants to his stuttering side against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, with Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo and deadline day signings Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind all available to play.
Van Persie is looking forward to playing alongside those players, as well as British record signing Angel Di Maria, as United search for their first win of the season.
"I can't wait to go and train and play with the world class players we have signed – wow," Van Persie told reporters after the Netherlands' 2-0 defeat to Italy.
"That feeling, that we are going to perform well has only got stronger after the buying of players over the last weeks. I find it very exciting, the arrival of all those new players.
"For me personally, it's brilliant to go and play with some of the best players in the world. It's great that I can go and train and play with them every day."
With more than £150m spent by Van Gaal over the summer, the pressure will be on United to get a positive result against QPR.
There have been some questions about how Manchester United will line up at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Van Gaal needing to decide whether to try and fit Wayne Rooney, Falcao and Van Persie in the starting XI or to have one of them come off the bench.Reuse content
