Mesut Ozil was relentlessly trolled by users on Twitter after being marked out of the game by 16-year-old Reece Oxford, who was making his Premier League debut in Arsenal's 2-0 defeat by West Ham.

Oxford starred in the defensive midfield position for the Hammers, who won thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate, new Gunners signing Petr Cech was culpable for both goals.

At the age of 16 years and 237 days, Oxford was the youngest player to ever play for West Ham in the Premier League, and what a way to make his debut.

Ozil is the Gunners' record signing, costing £42.5m from Real Madrid in September 2013, but was firmly in the youngster's pocket throughout.

Oxford described it as a "dream debut" after the game.
