What a difference a year makes.

On 10 December 2014 Chelsea were flying high at the top of the Premier League with 36 points from their first 15 matches. They had been unbeaten before a trip to St James' Park ended in a 2-1 defeat. Their goal difference was the best in the division and Diego Costa had started the season on fire, with 11 Premier League goals already to his name.

Leicester City, on the other hand, were rooted to the bottom of the table with just 10 points from their opening 15 games having just lost 2-1 at Aston Villa. Jamie Vardy had just one Premier League goal, scored in September, and wouldn't next score until March.

You know what the table looks like on 10 December 2015. Jamie Vardy has just broken a Premier League goal scoring record, Claudio Ranieri has Leicester top of the division and Chelsea have already lost eight games, collecting just 15 points from their first 15 matches.

That difference can be seen starkly in the Premier League team of the season so far.

The tram is based on data from the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index, the only official player rating index of the Premier League, which measures a player's all round contribution to the success of his team using six key indices - winning performance, player's performance per match, appearances, goals scored, assists and clean sheets.

Last season Chelsea had a whopping six players in the team - now they have none - while Manchester United and Liverpool also fail to have a single entrant.
