Manchester City remain top of the Premier League after thrashing West Bromwich Albion 4-0, hours after Arsenal briefly overtook them with a 4-1 win at Sunderland. Manchester United were left frustrated though as Ander Herrera was sent-off in the 0-0 draw with Burnley, while Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by reigning champions Leicester City. Liverpool saw off Crystal Palace 4-2 in the final game of the day to join City and Arsenal at the top of the table. Re-live the action here.

The new Nike Ordem IV Hi-Vis(The new winter ball in more simple terms), will also make its debut today for the 12:30 kick-off.

The ball is supposedly have been designed with the latest technology to allow players to catch sight of the ball quickly and make faster decisions.

So, Sunderland will be hoping that this new ball can be the good luck charm that can inject some energy and brilliance into their performance. We'll see.

Half hour until kick off now.

David Moyes has lost 14 Premier League games against Arsene Wenger - can the Scotsman put an end to this curse today?

We know it won't be easy, especially as Arsenal are entering the bout with impressive away form under their belt so far this season.

Just 10 minutes until kick off now.

Both starting line-ups look strong, with both sides desperate for a win today - but for very different reasons.

The home side are hunting for their first league win of the season to bounce them off the bottom spot, whereas Wenger's men will take top spot if they leave the Stadium of Light with three points today.

John O'Shea is set to make his 350th Premier League appearance today.  Very impressive. He will certainly be hoping to mark this achievement with a win.

And we're off.

Arsenal start the proceedings.

The first few minutes of this game will be crucial for both clubs. If Sunderland sit back and let Arsenal dictate the game from the off, it will be a long day for the home side. However, if the Black Cats start quickly, they are more than capable of causing an upset today.

Sunderland need to get the fans back on their side and this will inject a needed boost into the side.

Both clubs are just finding their feet for the moment, with no early chances so far.

Chamberlain gets on the end of a Bellerin cross with a headed attempt, but the presence of John O'shea doesn't allow the Ox a clean connection.

Corner kick.
