Paul Scharner has been ruled out of West Bromwich Albion's trip to Arsenal on Saturday after scans revealed he had suffered a minor knee ligament tear.
Scharner picked up the injury during Saturday's Premier League defeat to Liverpool and faces a race against time to be fit for the match against Bolton Wanderers in two and a half weeks' time.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich are running the rule over DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid, who is training with the West Midlands club for a week.
