Ahead of the Premier League meeting between Southampton and Tottenham this weekend, we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match...
Southampton fan - Dane Emery
A point against a struggling Aston Villa side is all we have to show from our last four Premier League games, while a 6-1 hammering from Liverpool in the League Cup has done nothing but drain Ronald Koeman's side of confidence.
To make matters worse, Graziano Pelle is a doubt with a knee injury that saw him start on the bench at Palace, so Shane Long is likely to lead the attack once again. We may opt to play Oriol Romeu alongside Victor Wanyama in midfield to ensure strong cover in front of the back four.
Tottenham are coming off the back of their first league defeat in fifteen games, but still look a strong side with serious top four credentials. Pochettino knows Southampton better than anyone and I think unfortunately may prove tactically superior on the day. I can't see an improvement from the Saints without Pelle and think Spurs will just grind out a win. I'm predicting a 2-1 loss for the Saints.
Tottenham fan - Chris Deeley
Spurs come into Saturday's game against Southampton in desperate need of a win to get their top four push back on track after a run of just one win from five Premier League games, capped by the end of a long unbeaten spell against Newcastle last weekend.
With the best part of a full week to prepare for the match, with no Europa League match in midweek, the team might finally manage to pull themselves together and stop letting games slip in the final stages as they have done of late. Christian Eriksen in particular has looked flat and exhausted of late and with the busy festive period coming up, the team needs an injection of energy and life.
An absolutely vital game for us, with the wheels close to falling off - but Spurs should win.
Prediction: Spurs 2-1
