Wayne Rooney and Manchester United enjoy 'civilised' evening at team-bonding meal
The want-away striker attends evening organised by David Moyes
Despite the ongoing uncertainty over Wayne Rooney's future, a team bonding session organised by Manchester United manager David Moyes has been labelled a “civilised affair”.
The dinner at Deansgate's upmarket Australasia restaurant was attended by the want-away striker, the rest of the Manchester United team, including Rio Ferdinand and Robin van Persie, and their partners.
Billed as a 'season launch party' by the Manchester Evening News, a source told the newspaper that "it was a very civilised affair".
Rooney's future continues to be a source of speculation with Jose Mourinho saying earlier this week that Chelsea will not end their pursuit until the transfer window closes.
It's reported that the United players and staff enjoyed a set four course dinner, including sushi, black cod, beef skewers and honey-glazed duck. No alcohol was consumed and manager Moyes was the last to leave the venue according to M.E.N.
