West Ham vs Manchester City: If we perfect the counter-attack we can snatch a win

Ahead of the Premier League meeting between West Ham United and Manchester City , we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match...

West Ham - Joe Difford

West Ham suffered a disappointing defeat last weekend, ending a run of eight games unbeaten. Manchester City on the other hand, ran riot against Crystal Palace, with Sergio Agüero netting a brace.

The last time these we met, we emerged victorious, winning 2-1, but we will have to be at their best to win on Saturday, with several key men still out injured. Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll’s absences will once again make it difficult for the boys in claret and blue in front of goal, but if we perfect the counter-attack as we have done already this season, we could snatch all three points.

The Boleyn Ground has become somewhat of a fortress in its last year of action, having not seen a home defeat since August, so City will not have a simple game on their hands either.

Prediction: 1-1 - West Ham to score early on but the inform Agüero to net his fifth in eight against the Hammers.

Manchester City - Nick Savage

Revenge is the word as we travel to east London to face the Hammers. A disappointing defeat at the start of the season must be atoned for if we are to continue to turn up the heat on Arsenal at the top of the table.

Pellegrini's switch to a 4-4-2 for the last few games has been an interesting one, but I expect him to revert to a more familiar 4-2-3-1 formation as West Ham are a team to be feared. They have their injury problems, but Dimitri Payet and a fighting spirit mean they can easily hurt us. Our away form has left much to be desired and I expect another tough outing on Saturday evening.

A lot of people might fancy us to slip up at Upton Park, but since we never like doing what people of expect of us, I'm going for a 3-1 win.
