Zlatan Ibrahimovic can help Manchester United youngsters like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial

Sweden team-mate John Guidetti talks up the seemingly Old Trafford-bound striker

Zlatan Ibrahimovic can inspire his younger team-mates at Manchester United should he make the move to Old Trafford, says his Sweden international team-mate John Guidetti.

Ibrahimovic is understood to be on the verge of announcing that he will move to Old Trafford this summer.

Concerns have been raised about the effect that the former PSG striker's arrival could have on the progress of Manchester United's younger forwards including Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. However, Guidetti, who is 10 years younger than Ibrahimovic, says the mercurial striker will provide those younger players with a boost.

"He is fantastic, great," said the Celta Vigo striker. "The way he speaks with all the younger players, the way he demands quality, it is a true pleasure to play with him.

"There'll never be another Zlatan: he's a one-off. The way that he talked and behaved has inspired me.

"He would say 'I'm going to be the best', and that's not something a Swede normally says!

"That's when I realised that you could say that. We do want to be the best! He changed the way we think."

Guidetti, who spent seven years on Manchester City's books before moving to Spain last summer, has backed Ibrahimovic to handle the weather should he move to Old Trafford.

"I think he knows the Manchester weather like I do!," said Guidetti. "He will settle. Anywhere he has gone he has performed, he is a world class player and is a world class person. Any team that gets him should be very grateful."

Ibrahimovic has won a league title every season except one for the last 12 years, spanning Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG.
