Another day and Chelsea are again linked with a slew of strikers to boost their paper-thin options up top.

Antonie Griezmann, Alex Pato, Jackson Martinez, Saido Berahino, Emmanuel Adebayor and Jamie Vardy are all linked with moves to Stamford Bridge today but one man is said to hold the key to Chelsea's transfer plans: Loic Remy.

According to various reports, interim manager Guus Hiddink has been told that he can only sign a player under a new 'one in, one out' policy, meaning Remy will have to leave first if he wants a replacement.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Sunderland have all been previously linked with the under-used French striker.

The Times report that Emmanuel Adebayor is a back-up option for the Blues if they are unable to snag one of their main targets this month. The former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham striker, 31, is a free agent after Spurs cancelled his contract.

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid's transfer ban has also had a big impact on Chelsea's future plans, if various reports are to be believed.

We reported that the ban will mean Eden Hazard is now staying at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future.

However, The Sun, in typically sensational fashion, report that Real Madrid will now spend £250million in this window to ensure they have enough cover to not worry about the next two windows. Los Blancos will apparently sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Paris Saint-Germain for £100m and bring in Hazard, Paul Pogba, David De Gea, Robert Lewandowski and Sergio Aguero...

Atletico will have to face a double move from the Blues, with Chelsea again interested in manager Diego Simeone and star man Antoine Griezmann.

Depending on which paper you pick up, Griezmann and Simeone will be more willing to leave as they are unable to bring in more players, or the club will be firmer in turning down offers for two crucial individuals.

Spanish paper AS claims Chelsea, one of four teams chasing the Frecnhman, have been told to pay £75m for Griezmann.

Simeone is said to be close to taking over at Chelsea than ever becaause of the ban, according to the Daily Mirror.

Alexandre Pato's agent is in London, according to the Daily Telegraph and ESPN Brazil, as the Blues negotiate a deal to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge.

The fallen former wonderkid, still only 26, found some form back in Brazil on loan with Sao Paulo, but Chelsea and parent club AC Mian have to decide whether they want him on a loan deal, with a £10m option to buy, or a straight sale. Again, he will only arrive if Remy leaves first.

AC Milan have also told Chelsea there is no chance they are signing Carlos Bacca.

That Real Madrid connection pops up again and this time it's Toni Kroos who is linked; but it's from Fichajes so it's extremely likely to be nonsense.

Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, who has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, has admitted he is ready to leave Ligue 1 in the summer.
