Chelsea have added Carlos Bacca to their list of transfer targets and are ready to pay a premium in order to bring the 29-year-old to Stamford Bridge, according to reports.

The Milan striker is available for around £30million, according to Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport, despite only arriving at the San Siro last summer from Sevilla.

The Colombian international has scored nine goals in 21 appearances since moving to Serie A and, crucially, is not cup-tied for European competitions.

The Rossoneri finished 10th in their domestic league last season, outside of qualification places for the Champions League and Europa League.

Bacca could, therefore, play for Chelsea in the club’s upcoming knockout-ties against Paris Saint-Germain if a deal were to be done in the current transfer window.

The former Club Brugge frontman was one of Sevilla’s stand-out performers last term as they won the Europa League for a record fourth time.

Chelsea travel to Paris for the first leg of their knock-out tie on 16 February, with the return leg at Stamford Bridge on 9 March.
