Crystal Palace complete signing of Eberechi Eze from QPR
Twenty-two-year-old joins for £20m on a five-year deal
Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers.
Eze, 22, joins the Eagles on a five-year deal.
The Independent’s Tom Kershaw reported yesterday that the attacking midfielder was undergoing a medical at Selhurst Park ahead of a £19.5million move.
Eze scored 20 goals for QPR in 112 first-team appearances after joining in 2016, and last season he was named his former club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and young player of the year.
Eze also represents England at under-21 level. He was again named in the nation’s U21 squad this week.
“As a football club, I feel like there are great players here and it’s a brilliant opportunity for me to come and be with these players, to link up with them and to really push on,” Eze said upon his arrival at Premier League side Palace.
Crystal Palace Chairman, Steve Parish, said: “Eberechi is a player whose development we have followed closely.
“We are delighted he has chosen to sign for us over the other clubs that were interested and we feel that this is the right club for him to continue his development.”
