Manchester United striker James Wilson looks likely to become the latest player to leave the club in these final few days of the transfer window.

Louis van Gaal is willing to send the youngster out on loan, according to reports by the Daily Mail.

West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur are leading the chase, although as many as 15 clubs have shown an interest in Wilson.

Following the departures of Javier Hernandez to Bayer Leverkusen and Adnan Januzaj to Borussia Dortmund on loan, United are left with slim pickings up front. Only the out-of-form Wayne Rooney remains as a recognised first-team striker.

The loss of Wilson would deplete United's reserves further, although a deal for Monaco forward Anthony Martial is expected to be completed before the end of the window.

Wilson has not been included in the matchday squad for any of Manchester United's competitive fixture this season and will see a loan move as an opportunity to play first-team football.

It has also been reported that some of the clubs interested in Wilson wish to do so on a permanent basis and the player has not ruled out leaving Old Trafford for good.
