Manchester United fans will be feeling happy today after David De Gea's proposed move to Real Madrid collapsed, a final twist in the long-running transfer saga that means their player of the season for the last two years running will remain for another year.
But the news has also delighted a legend from their arch rivals Liverpool, but for all the wrong reasons.
Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool defender, pointed out some aspects of the failed move that aren't such great news for Manchester United.
In a tweet, Carragher revelled in the fact that De Gea's head had been turned so therefore "won't be right". He also pointed out that the goalkeeper will leave for nothing at the end of the season, denying Manchester United the chance to cash in on arguably their most prized asset. Plus, United now don't have an extra £20m to spend in the transfer market before the window closes.

It probably won't be long before Manchester United legend and fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville offers a riposte to Carragher's take on the botched deal.
