Liverpool have made their third signing of the summer after completing a free transfer for Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan as they continue to press on with a restructuring of their squad.
Announcing the news on their official club website, the free transfer was confirmed and will go through on 1 July.
“Liverpool FC are pleased to announce that personal terms have been agreed with Adam Bogdan and the goalkeeper will join the club on a free transfer on July 1 after his contract with Bolton Wanderers has expired,” the club confirmed.

Bogdan was out of contract at Bolton and, incredibly, becomes the third free agent that the Reds have signed since the end of the Premier League season. The 27-year-old will provide competition for current first-choice stopper Simon Mignolet.
Despite starting the season well below his best, Mignolet recovered after being dropped by manager Brendan Rodgers to show signs that he was getting back to his best, and he would likely remain first choice even if Bogdan came in.
The Hungary international joined Bolton in 2007 and has remained a loyal servant to the club after their relegation to the Championship. However, this season has seen Bogdan struggle with injuries as well as a loss of form, although one of his best performances of the season came against Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round at Anfield in January.
But much like the rest of his season, Bogdan was left frustrated as he missed the replay at the Macron Stadium due to injury.
Bogdan arrives after the departure of Brad Jones who saw his contract expire and becomes the Anfield club’s third signing of the summer, having already completed a deal to sign James Milner from Manchester City and agreed personal terms with England Under-21 striker Danny Ings.
However, the club are yet to agree a fee with Burnley to sign Ings given that he is under 24 years old and will require a compensation fee to be paid, with a tribunal set to decide the figure if the two clubs cannot reach an agreement.
