Jordon Ibe appears to be heading towards a Liverpool exit after the club accepted a £15m offer from fellow Premier League side Bournemouth in what is expected to be a club-record transfer, according to reports.

It was revealed on Wednesday night that the Cherries had followed up interest in the England Under-21 international by making an offer, and Press Association reported on Thursday that the bid had been accepted by the Merseyside outfit.

With the 20-year-old not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans as he looks to put his own touch on the side he inherited from Brendan Rodgers last October, Ibe looks set to depart Anfield for good, having made just 12 Premier League starts last season.

Ibe joined Liverpool from Wycombe Wanderers back in 2012 and made his debut in the 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers in May 2013, laying on an assist for Philippe Coutinho to win the game, before spending loan spells with Birmingham City and Derby County.

It was under Rodgers that Ibe showed his potential as the Northern Irish manager gave him a number of opportunities during the 2014/15 season after being recalled from Derby, before signing a five-year contract at the end of the season.

He may have won his battle with Loris Karius for the starting spot between the sticks, but both may have lost the war. Neither have convinced when given an opportunity and Mignolet is merely the man in possession. There will be concern if that’s still the case come next season’s opening weekend. Like Mignolet, Karius' future will depend on whether Klopp decides to enter the market for a goalkeeper for the second consecutive summer. If he does, last year's signing from Mainz will have a long road back to the first team. He is young, though, and his status as a relatively new signing could work in his favour. Ragnar Klavan

Brought in as a fourth-choice centre-back last summer, Klavan shot up the pecking order following Mamadou Sakho’s disciplinary issues. Joel Matip’s injury problems saw Klavan promoted further still and, though he has put in a handful of solid displays, others have been below-par. If a new centre-back arrives and Joe Gomez’s development continues apace, Klavan will be back on the fringes. Survival rating: 7/10

Sakho is currently out on loan at Crystal Palace and his Anfield career looks all but over after the disciplinary problems which have dogged him. Klopp looks to have made his mind up on the defender, who would be a regular starter if he had his manager's trust. Survival rating: 1/10

However, the sacking of Rodgers saw Ibe’s first-team chances start to fade, although he did start the three final Premier League fixtures of the campaign as Klopp gave him a chance to impress, with the winger scoring in the final day 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Should Ibe complete his move to the Vitality Stadium, he will follow Chelsea’s Nathan Ake – who joined on a season-long loan – as well as Emerson Hyndman and Lys Mousset, who joined on a free transfer from Fulham and £5.4m move from Le Havre respectively.
