Mino Raiola can expect to receive a staggering £18.4m should Manchester United sign Juventus star Paul Pogba in a record-breaking transfer.

Raiola, the player’s agent, is reportedly set to pick up around 20 per cent of the overall transfer fee which would see him take away nearly £20m.

Juventus had rejected United’s original £87m offer but accepted an increased bid worth £92m late on Wednesday night on the condition that the Premier League side pay the entirety of Raiola’s agent fee.

United had originally agreed to pay half of the figure but it now seems that the deal hinges on whether the club are prepared to meet Juventus’ demand, according to the Guardian.

The Manchester club have also agreed to buy Pogba’s commercial rights and pay him an extra £4.2m a season, taking his earnings to a staggering £290,000-a-week in a deal that would make him one of the best paid footballers in the world.

There had been suggestions on Wednesday night that Real Madrid were plotting a last-minute swoop on Pogba.

But speaking earlier on in the week, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane alleviated any concerns that the Spanish giants might still be interested in making a move after he remarked that he was “happy with the squad I have got and it’s difficult to improve on it.”

He added: “Do I like Pogba? Of course, he’s a very good player and every club wants the best players but right now he’s at Juve and we have a large squad already.”

It has been a successful summer for agent Mino Raiola who has already brought in two players to Old Trafford. Both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkitaryan are represented by Raiola who stands to make an exceptional amount of money from his latest summer deal.
