No 'get out clause' for £8m Norwich signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel insists Chris Hughton
Chris Hughton, the Norwich manager, has denied reports that Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel's £8m move from Sporting Lisbon could fall through if Norwich are relegated.
Van Wolfswinkel's representative Louis Laros told Portuguese newspaper A Bola: "There is a special clause in the deal accepted by all parties that stipulates if Norwich leave the Premier League then the future of Ricky van Wolfswinkel will be open again."
Hughton, however, rejected that possibility. He said: "Any talk of a relegation clause in the contract is not fact. We look forward to seeing him next season."
