Manchester City will replace Yaya Toure with Paul Pogba, should the Ivorian leave this summer, according to reports.

With Toure reportedly unhappy with the club over their failure to properly acknowledge his birthday, there is speculation that he might leave City this summer, leaving a large hole to fill in Manuel Pellegrini's midfield.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, Man City have made Pogba their main priority in the transfer market should they lose Toure.

The Ivory Coast midfielder is apparently disgruntled that he hasn't been afforded the same status at the club as other stars like Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ready to swoop in and take him on a big-money deal.

Pogba has been hugely impressive since his move from Manchester United to Juventus in 2012, and only improved his standing with a series of excellent performances at this summer's World Cup.

However, Manchester United are thought to be in pole position to sign the Frenchman, despite letting him leave the club only two years ago, with Juventus interested in a deal involving Patrice Evra going the other way.
