Portsmouth: potential transfer targets
Sunday 13 December 2009
Portsmouth are currently scrapping for their Premier League life so an injection of talent in the January transfer window would be highly welcome.
Manager Avram Grant has talked of his optimism at escaping relegation, but for the team currently propping up the table, that's a tall order. Yet most of their games have been tight affairs, meaning a few tweaks here-and-there could be enough to turn around their fortunes.
When it comes to finances, the situation is hazy. The club this week denied rumours they were going into administration and said that chairman Ali Al Faraj was fully supporting the team. The January window may show just how much support he's willing to offer.
Here's a look at the players reportedly heading up Grant's transfer targets.
