After finishing fifth last term, Tottenham Hotspur went into this summer's market hoping to capture one or two key players to push them into the top four.

Although defensive reinforcements have arrived in the shape of Kevin Wimmer, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld, there have been more outgoings than incomings at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino has ruthlessly shed fringe players such as Etienne Capoue, Lewis Holtby and Younes Kaboul, among others, but the club's failure to capture targets Saido Berahino and Victor Wanyama will have left the manager disappointed.
