TOTTENHAM TRANSFERS…

Tottenham are making a late move to sign 18-year-old Dele Alli from MK Dons in a bid to beat Newcastle and Aston Villa to the England youth star. Alli is highly-rated in the England camp, and the Telegraph reports that the teenager favours a move to White Hart Lane over their Premier League rivals. Midfielder Dele Alli is valued at about £5m, although he could be loaned back to the League One side for the rest of the season.

The report goes on to suggest that Alli will have a medical with Spurs today, though he has already been given a glowing reference from Spurs’ head of recruitment Paul Mitchell following his work at MK Dons.

Winston Reid will join Tottenham in the summer, according to The Mirror after Arsenal ended their interest in the New Zealand international defender. Reid is out of contract at the end of the season and has repeatedly rejected transfer talks with the Hammers as he seeks a free transfer at the end of the season. Arsenal were believed to be leading the race to land the 26-year-old, but their acquisition of Gabriel Paulista has strengthened their defensive options enough that they no longer deem it necessary to pursue the former Midtjylland player.

Spurs could look to sign Reid before tonight’s deadline, but West Ham are demanding £7m for an immediate transfer and the likelihood is that Spurs will wait five months when they can secure his signature for nothing.

HEADING FOR THE EXIT…

Emmanuel Adebayor could still leave the club before 11pm tonight with Queens Park Rangers still in the hunt for the Togolese striker. QPR manager Harry Redknapp has shown a tendency to tap into his former club’s resources in the past, and The Mirror reports that he has already had an offer accepted for the out-of-favour striker. Having made his return to action earlier this month, Adebayor was booed by some of his own fans and looks set for an exit sooner rather than later.

While QPR remain favourites to land the 30-year-old, Stoke remain in the hunt and could look to hijack any deal as deadline day progresses. The report suggest that Adebayor wants to move to a Champions League club and would move abroad in order to secure it, meaning Redknapp faces a challenge to persuade him to come to a club locked in a relegation battle this season.

Both Vlad Chiriches and Younes Kaboul could also be the subject of late loan offers, with both defenders currently out of favour under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
