Tottenham transfer rumours and news: Ben Yedder bid rejected; Fulham's Moussa Dembele 'not for sale'

All the latest speculation from Whte Hart Lane

Tottenham’s hunt for a striker to take the weight off Harry Kane’s shoulders continues to feed the rumour mill, with Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder the latest forward mooted for a move to White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino admitted at the weekend Tottenham will do business this month if the price suits them – although few Spurs fans are likely to have heard of the 25-year-old un-capped Frenchman Ben Yedder.

However, France Football claim Spurs had a £6.1m bid rejected last week, and are expected to make a renewed bid in the coming days. Ben Yedder has scored 11 goals in 12 games for Toulouse, and is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

Tottenham’s pursuit of rising teenage star Moussa Dembele is also gathering pace, but Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic attempted to ward off their interest.

Dembele, 19, has scored 11 times in all competitions this season for Fulham, making him a target for Pochettino.

The Evening Standard revealed that Spurs have been in talks with Dembele’s representatives for some time, and are favourites to sign him ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.

Jokanovic, though, insists he will not be forced into selling Dembele or any of his best players. “This is all speculation and I want them to stay,” he said.

Meanwhile, Spurs youngster Nathan Oduwa announced his season-long loan at Rangers has been cut short. The attacking midfielder has not featured for the Glasgow side since mid-December and has returned to White Hart Lane. Oduwa wrote on Twitter: “I want to wish the players good luck for the rest of the season and hope they get Rangers back to the Scottish Premiership.”
