Transfer latest: Liverpool's Suso heads to Almeria on season-long loan
Midfielder will spend 2013/4 season on-loan at newly promoted La Liga side
Liverpool have confirmed that midfielder Suso has joined Almeria on a season-long loan deal.
The teenager has made 20 appearances for the Reds, but he is yet to make his mark on Anfield and has been given a season abroad to try and secure first-team football.
The Spaniard has featured under Brendan Rodgers but perhaps not as much as he would’ve liked, with the bulk of his games coming from the bench.
New Almeria boss Francisco Rodriguez will hope that Suso can help the newly-promoted side maintain their status in the Primera Division, having won the Liga Adelante play-offs to ensure their promotion.
Suso featured for the Spain Under-20’s side at the recent U20’s World Cup, and a return to his homeland will have Liverpool fans hoping he can recapture the form that saw him signed from Cadiz in 2010.
