Transfer news: Borussia Dortmund want Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry to replace Robert Lewandowski - reports
Bundesliga side keen on Arsenal's young striker as Polish star moves to Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund are looking into the possibility of making a summer move for Arsenal's young midfielder Serge Gnabry.
The Bundesliga side are already considering their options after Robert Lewandowski signed a pre-contract agreement with champions Bayern Munich.
The 18-year-old was a notable inclusion in the side for Arsenal's 2-0 victory over their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and the German could now feature more frequently in the coming weeks.
According to German newspaper Bild, Dortmund head-coach Jurgen Klopp had sent scouts to watch Gnabry throughout 2013 after conceding defeat over Lewandowski.
The Polish striker announced last week that he has signed a five-year deal with Bayern in an open letter to Dortmund supporters.
He said: "Dear BVB fans, I would like to say a few words to you.
"With half a year to go, there are still some goals we want to achieve together.
"I hope you will support me, even if some of you don’t agree with my decision! I for one will give my all for BVB!
"Yours, Robert Lewandowski."
