Arsenal are interested in Mexico’s World Cup goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa after he told his current club Malaga he is ready to leave, according to reports.

Ochoa impressed in Brazil last summer and joined the La Liga side as a result, but the 29-year-old has struggled for form ever since he returned from South America and is yet to appear in the league for Malaga – having only played in the Copa del Rey. According to the Daily Express, Ochoa has informed his club that he wants to leave in the summer, and The Metro claims that Arsenal are one of those sides in the hunt for him given their own concerns between the sticks.

Another player that the Gunners are believed to be closing in on is 16-year-old French defender Dayot Upamecano. The Mirror reports that both Arsenal and Manchester United are in the hunt to land the current Valenciennes centre-half, but that it’s the London club who hold the edge and are on the verge of securing a deal, thought to be around the £1m mark.

The report goes on to claim that United nearly signed Upamecano on deadline day, while Italian side Inter Milan are also interest in the France Under-17 international.

Real Madrid are believed to be keeping an eye on Tottenham striker Harry Kane, after watching him three times already this season. The Daily Mail claims the European champions are keeping tabs on Spurs’ newest star, with the 21-year-old scoring his 21st and 22nd goals of the season in the 2-1 north London derby victory on Saturday.

Tottenham striker Kane scored twice against Arsenal

However, any move is unlikely to go through in the near future after Kane signed a new five-and-a-half year contract on transfer deadline day, although Real have tapped into the club’s reserves in the past with a big money move for Luka Modric and the world record transfer of Gareth Bale.

The Daily Express claims that Manchester United have structured a plan should Real come sniffing for David De Gea that involves making a £25m move for Tottenham’s French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. De Gea has been United’s standout player for the past 18 months, triggering talk that he could be the long-term replacement to Iker Casillas at the Santiago Bernabeu. Should Real move for the 24-year-old, United could seek to land Lloris to challenge new signing Victor Valdes, with Lloris desperate to return to Champions League football.

Sterling is set to reject the latest contract offer from Liverpool

Despite Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirming that the club have made an “incredible offer” to Raheem Sterling, TalkSport claims that the England international will reject the new contract extension. The deal has been made available to Sterling for the past month but the 20-year-old has shown no signs that he is ready to accept it, and with Real reportedly interested in bringing him to Spain, he appears to be holding out for an even better offer.

Lyon forward Nabil Fekir is a target for Arsenal

Finally, Arsenal are being linked with a summer move for Lyon striker Nabil Fekir despite interest coming from French league champions Paris Saint-Germain. The 21-year-old could be one of many summer exits from the Ligue 1 club with doubts over Alexandre Lacazette’s future, and The Sun reports that Arsene Wenger will launch a summer move for the France Under-21 international in order to strengthen his attack.
