Moussa Dembele has become Mark Hughes' first signing since becoming Fulham manager. The 23-year-old forward, who has 28 caps for Belgium, moves to Craven Cottage from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on a three-year contract for £5m.

"It has always been a dream to play in the Premier League and I will make sure that I make the most of this opportunity," said Dembele.

Hughes added: "Moussa will add another dimension to our attacking options."

Stoke City have signed Jon Walters for an initial £2.75m on a three-year contract from Ipswich Town. The fee may rise to £3.25m depending on appearances. The former Blackburn and Bolton striker, 26, said: "It is the fulfilment of a long-term goal of mine to get back into the Premier League."

Blackpool have finally completed the signing of the Israel international Dekel Keinan on a one-year contract. The 25-year-old defender has received the work permit he had been waiting for since agreeing to join the Seasiders last month from Maccabi Haifa.

The Crystal Palace manager, George Burley, has distanced himself from reports linking Dutch legend Edgar Davids with a shock move to Selhurst Park. "There is nothing definite about Davids," he said of the 37-year-old midfielder. "Edgar has a home in London and he's talking about starting to play again, but it hasn't gone much further than that."
