Liverpool

The club are believed to be interested in bringing Wigan's Honduran left-back Maynor Figueroa to Anfield to solve their defensive problems. The Reds had to depend upon the young Argentinian defender Emiliano Insua last season after injury limited regular full-back Fabio Aurelio to just 14 league appearances. New Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is also looking at Cardiff's promising midfielder Joe Ledley, who has also aroused the interest of Stoke.

Chelsea

Midfielder Deco has agreed to terms with Fluminense pending "him being released by Chelsea and passing the medical tests," according to the Brazilian club's president Celso Barros. The 32-year-old scored five goals in 43 matches for Chelsea since 2008.

Hull City

Geovanni's contract with the club has been terminated by mutual consent. The 30-year-old midfielder made 65 appearances for the Tigers since moving on a free transfer from Manchester City in 2008. He has been linked with Panathinaikos.

Newcastle

James Perch has signed for the Magpies from Nottingham Forest on a four-year-deal. I've admired James for some time," said the Newcastle manager, Chris Hughton. "It's great we've been able to secure his services." The 24-year-old can play in both midfield and defence.

Chelsea

Slovakian attacking forward Milan Lalkovic has agreed a three-year professional contract with the Blues. The talented 17-year-old has been a member of the club's youth academy since 2007. In 2009, he made the jump to the reserve squad, scoring once in eight appearances.

Norwich City

The Canaries have signed Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old only made one appearance in 2006 for the Toffees during his tenure at Goodison Park and has been on loan to eight different clubs in the last five years.
