Nemanja Vidic could be set for a shock return to Manchester United . The former Red Devils captain left for Inter Milan over the summer but has failed to replicate the form that made him an Old Trafford favourite. According to the Daily Star , Louis van Gaal has already held talks over the possibility.
Another player heading for Manchester United, possibly earlier than expected, is Kevin Strootman. We reported yesterday that should Roma fail to reach the knock-out phase of the Champions League they could be open to an approach for the midfielder in January. Owing to Manchester City's win at the Stadio Olimpico last night, that is now a possibility.
Eden Hazard's brother Thorgan has revealed he is considering leaving Chelsea permanently. The 21-year-old is yet to play for the Blues since joining them at the same time as his brother, back in the summer of 2012. He is currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and said: "It's an option to stay at Gladbach longer. But it's just too early to talk about it now. The decision will be made towards the end of the season. I feel great here."
Sunderland want Radamel Falcao. However, the jest in which it was said suggests Gus Poyet is well aware he has no chance of attracting the Colombian striker to the Stadium of Light. “Some people say to me ‘maybe you can get a player on loan who changes your season’. Where is that player? Unless it’s someone coming from a bad injury and needs to play, it’s difficult," he told the Sunderland Echo. "Now if Man United want us to take Falcao for six months... We will do. But that doesn’t happen a lot. You need to be very smart in January.”

Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to swoop.
