Liverpool could sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a cut-price fee of £18.1m. The enigmatic striker's current club, PSG, have indicated that their other lead striker, Edinson Cavani, will not be allowed to leave. That's raised the possibility, according to the Metro, that Ibrahimovic could be allowed to go. With his contract having just a year to run this summer, PSG could still command a decent fee with Liverpool ready to make a move due to their striker issues this season.

Manchester United have emerged as the surprise front-runners to sign Danny Ings. The Burnley striker is out of contract at the end of the season and fully expected to leave the relegation threatened side. A host of sides have been linked with the 22-year-old Englishman, including former Manchester United manager David Moyes, who is now at Real Sociedad. But according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have made contact with Burnley about a summer deal and made themselves front-runners for Ings' signature.

A player heavily linked with a departure from Old Trafford is goalkeeper David De Gea, who will have a year remaining on his existing deal at the end of the season. Real Madrid are the club he tends to be linked with, but United's hopes that he will remain a Red Devil have been boosted after Carlo Ancelotti said he had no plans to let his current No 1, Iker Casillas, leave the Bernabeu.

Manchester City are ready to off-load a host of players in a move that will freshen up the squad and provide funds to bring in more youthful faces. A number of outlets report that among those that the reigning Premier League champions are willing to let go are Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov, Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko. Those they want to see arrive at the Etihad this summer include Raheem Sterling and Paul Pogba.

Arsenal have been linked yet again with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. Manchester United are understood to also be on the scene with a possible exodus from Dortmund due to their likely failure to qualify for the Champions League. Gundogan is valued at around £20m.
