The World Cup in Brazil is coming into view and everyone is hoping this summer's carnival can take its place among some of the great tournaments of the past, but who will be the star of the show?

With 69 days to go until things kick-off, check out our latest instalment of 100 players to look out for at the competition below.

69. Kevin Mirallas (Belgium)

This Belgian has so far played a major role in helping Roberto Martinez replicate the success of his predecessor David Moyes at Goodison Park. He’s provided plenty of Premier League defences with cause for thought this year, not only with his eye for goal but his ability to thread a killer pass through the oppositions back line.

He hasn’t replicated the prolific form he showed for Olympiakos since moving to Merseyside, although that may simply be down to the difference in quality between the Greek league and England’s top flight. Being Belgian, he finds himself part of one of the most individually talented squads in international football, joining the likes of Eden Hazard, Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku in a team that is being touted as a dark horse for potential success in Brazil.

They’re undoubtedly favourites to top Group H as they join South Korea, Algeria and Russia in the first stage of the competition. At just 26, Mirallas is one of the more experienced heads in the national set up which goes some way in showing how much of a threat this European side may prove to be in June.
