Roy Hodgson has stated that the only change to the starting eleven who began at Wembley on Friday, will be the replacement of Danny Welbeck, who is suspended after his yellow card against Montenegro. The England manager also confirmed that Frank Lampard would start against Ukraine which allows the Chelsea midfielder to win his 100th England cap.
The expectation of Hodgson’s replacement for Danny Welbeck will be the ever-reliable James Milner. The midfielder has been a favourite of Hodgson’s in his tenure as England manager with his reliability in defensive duties, and defensive duties will ultimately be at the top of the agenda for England in Kiev tonight as anything but a loss will keep England at the summit of Group H with second place Montenegro not playing.
