Bracknell Bees moved into second place in the British Ice Hockey Superleague with their second victory over Manchester Storm in a week on Sunday night. The 2-1 victory over Daryl Lipsey's side at the Bee Hive moves the Berkshiremen level with London and Nottingham in second place.

It was Bracknell who took an early lead, Dan Ceman scoring on the powerplay 11 seconds before the end of the first period after the former Bees player Mark Bultje had been penalised.

Russ Romaniuk equalised on the powerplay midway through the second period after Likit Andersson had been penalised, before Steve O'Rourke hit the winning goal halfway through the final period. Trevor Gallant was thrown out for Storm shortly after O'Rourke's strike as the Bees held on for victory.

The centre, Bob Maudie, who played 25 games for Bracknell last season, has joined rivals Sheffield Steelers on a one-year deal. Another centre, Erik Norback, has joined the Ayr Scottish Eagles from the Swedish outfit, AIK Stockholm, as a temporary replacement for the injured Shawn Byram.
