Jamie Jones-Buchanan set to spend entire career with Leeds Rhinos after signing new three-year contract

England international Jamie Jones-Buchanan has signed a new three-year contract with Leeds, ensuring the veteran forward will play out his entire career at his hometown club.

The 32-year-old has made 307 appearances for the Rhinos since making his debut in 1999 and will now stay at Headingley until the end of the 2016 season.

"It is great to have agreed the new deal but, as everyone who knows me knows, there was never any intention from me to leave my club," Jones-Buchanan said.

"I am really excited about the new season and having the young guys involved in pre-season along with the new faces in Paul Aiton, Tom Briscoe and Andy Yates has given the whole place a lift."

Leeds coach Brian McDermott said: "Jamie is at the core of our club, not just because of what he does on the field but what he offers off the field as well.

"As part of the group of five players who have won all six Grand Finals, his place in the history books of the club are already assured but his enthusiasm for what still lays ahead helps to drive everyone on."

Jones-Buchanan, who missed the World Cup through injury, has won three World Club Challenges with Leeds as well as six Super League titles.
