Menzies' symptoms remain a mystery

Bradford are still unsure whether Australian forward, Steve Menzies, is suffering from swine flu.

Menzies was sent home before the match at the Celtic Crusaders, showing all the signs of the illness. But the club's football manager, Stuart Duffy, said: "We may never know exactly what it was." Bulls' stand-off Ben Jefferies is set to join the Crusaders next season after taking his wife to see the area at weekend. Brian Noble, whose future at Wigan remains uncertain, is strongly rumoured to take over as coach of the Welsh club. Paul Wood of Warrington and Leeds' Danny Buderus are unlikely to play again this season after breaking bones in their legs. Blow to Britain as leg injury rules out Deng

basketball Great Britain will be without NBA star Luol Deng for this summer's European Championship. National coach Chris Finch named his 17-player squad for the tournament yesterday, including returns for Scotland's Robert Archibald and a fully fit Andy Betts. But Chicago Bulls forward Deng, 24, has been declared unfit after failing to recover from a stress fracture in his right tibia in February."
