Morley will plot Kiwis' downfall

Adrian Morley's hands-on knowledge of how to beat New Zealanders in big matches will be enlisted in Great Britain's cause when he flies home next week.

The former Leeds second-row forward was in the Sydney Roosters side that beat the New Zealand Warriors in the Australian Grand Final on Sunday. Eleven of the Warriors are in the Kiwi national squad, which will arrive shortly after Morley for the tour of Great Britain and France.

"I'll be flying in early next week and meeting up with David Waite to offer him my advice on how to beat them," he said. The Great Britain coach, Waite, said he would be comparing notes with Morley when he arrives. "His contribution will be very valuable," he said.

Stacey Jones, who led the Warriors in the Grand Final, is to captain New Zealand against Australia on Saturday and probably on their tour to Great Britain and France, replacing Nathan Cayless, who will be undergoing knee surgery.

Australia have named three new caps for the Kiwi Test in Wellington, in a line-up captained by Gorden Tallis in the absence of the injured Andrew Johns. Craig Wing and Craig Fitzgibbon are to make their first appearances from the bench, but the Canterbury winger, Hazem El Masri, will start the game.

El Masri's previous international appearances have been for Lebanon, the land of his birth, for whom he is due to play against France in Tripoli on 2 November in the first ever rugby league match on Lebanese soil.
