The Queensland winger, Chris Walker, rejected by Bradford, has joined the Catalan Dragons on a two-year contract. Walker claimed the Bulls had reneged on a deal with him in order to sign the Manly scrum-half, Matt Orford.

He threatened legal action but has given up on that avenue to sign up with the French Super League club. Their manager, Sebastien Munoz, said: "He will bring speed to the three-quarter line, which is what we have sometimes lacked."

The 29-year-old has been a consistent try-scorer throughout his NRL career, which has included stints with Brisbane, Melbourne and most recently, the Gold Coast Titans.
