Thursday 11 August 2005
Mike Sanderson and Emma Richards, who, in Pindar, had led from the start and round the rock, fell back by 20 miles into fourth place. A hike to the north was their undoing as Bernard Stamm in Cheminées Poujoulat took the lead, from Jean-Pierre Dick in Virbac and Roland Jourdain in Sill.
The triple Olympic medallist Ben Ainslie won his third straight race at the Finn European Championships in Kalmar, Sweden, yesterday while, in Varberg, Iain Percy and Steve Mitchell lead the Star European Championship withtwo wins from four races.
