Burma will hold its first professional championship in January. International players will compete in the pounds 97,000 Asian Professional Golfers Association competition on 4-7 January.

The PGA European Seniors Tour has announced a five-year agreement for Deutsche Golf Management to promote and organise the Stella Seniors Open. Next year's event, at the Idstein Club in Frankfurt, will be on 12-14 July with a minimum of pounds 100,000 prize money. The Tour is hopeful of at least 15 tournaments next season, with prize money in excess of pounds 1.2m.
