Golf: Mickelson makes most of mixed fortunes

Phil Mickelson mixed seven birdies with three bogeys as he took the lead with a 68 in the second round of the Mercedes Championship in Carlsbad, California. In George, South Africa, Zimbabwe's Tony Johnstone had a one- stroke lead after the third round of the Bell's Cup, hitting a 68. He led the South African Ben Fouchee on 202.
