Phil Mickelson was the biggest absentee from Saturday's Ruder Cup action after he and Keegan Bradley were left out of both the fourballs and the foursomes by USA captain Tom Watson.

Having come into the 2014 Ryder Cup unbeaten together, a Mickelson birdie on the 18th saw them clinch a dramatic victory against Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia on Friday morning, but suffered defeat to Victor Dubisson and Graeme McDowell in the afternoon foursomes.

With the pair rested again, youngsters Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth remain in action, but come up against the in-form Justin Rose and his new playing partner Martin Kaymer, with Henrik Stenson rested due to a stiff back.

Sergio Garcia returns to partner Rory McIlroy, with Ian Poulter missing out after an inconsistent fourballs session.

Saturday foursomes pairings:

13.15 - Jamie Donaldson & Lee Westwood v Zach Johnson & Matt Kuchar

13.30 - Sergio Garcia & Rory McIlroy v Jim Furyk & Hunter Mahan

13.45 - Martin Kaymer & Justin Rose v Jordan Spieth & Patrick Reed

14.00 - Victor Dubuisson & Graeme McDowell v Jimmy Walker & Rickie Fowler
