Singh closes on Nicklaus top-10 record
Vijay Singh cruised to a three-shot victory in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am with a final round score of 69, three under par. The Fijian moved into first place on the money list, and also moved into noted company by earning his 12th consecutive top-10 finish. Only Jack Nicklaus has more, having established the record of 14 in 1977.
Singh started the day with birdies on the first three holes. The British pair Phillip Price and Luke Donald slipped back from joint-third overnight to a share of 17th place.
